Missing nurse found murdered

13th October, 2010 KOTA KINABALU: Police believe the nurse from Kudat reported missing on October 9 was murdered after they found a body in a drain at Taman Kingfisher yesterday.

They also discovered her Kancil car parked next to a budget hotel near a community hall here on October 10.

State Commissioner of Police (CP) Datuk Noor Rashid Ibrahim said the 39-year-old Kadazandusun nurse from Kudat could have been killed elsewhere before her semi-clothed body was dumped in Taman Kingfisher.

“I personally instructed acting CID chief ACP Mohd Shariff Abd Wahid to conduct an immediate investigation and to locate the victim when police found her car on the morning of October 10,” said Noor Rashid when contacted by the New Sabah Times yesterday.

Police went to the scene after being informed by a member of public who spotted the body in the drain at about 10.50am yesterday. Initial investigation showed the victim’s body sustained injuries in the head and right ribs.

To a question, Noor Rashid said police believe the victim died more than 48 hours ago.

Police are also waiting for a post-mortem report from the hospital.

The case has been classified as murder and an investigation will be conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The victim had planned to wed her fiancée at the end of this year.

She had driven from Kudat to Kota Kinabalu to attend a two-week course at the Open University Malaysia in Jalan Lintas and undergo practical training at the Likas Hospital.

Among those present at the scene in Taman Kingfisher were Acting Deputy CP SAC Tan Kok Liang who is also head of the management division, acting CID chief ACP Mohd Shariff Abd Wahid, ACP Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd, Deputy City Police Chief Supt Rowell Marong, DSP Asri Ahmad and other city police officers.

A forensic team was also present to gather evidence.

The victim’s parents and relatives present at the scene positively identified her body.

Noor Rashid urged those with information or had witnessed the victim in a public area with a man to contact the Karamunsing police station.

Asked to comment on police investigations into the fatal accident involving Batu Sapi Member of Parliament, Datuk Edmund Chong, Noor Rashid said investigations are still ongoing.

“I urge witnesses of the accident to come forward and help the investigation,” he said adding that police are conducting a study at the scene of the accident.

Noor Rashid advised members of the public to refrain from spreading hearsay and to let police complete the investigation.

May God Bless Her soul, tapi sia dengar dari kawan saya, diorang bilang motif pembunuhan adalah cemburu, mungkin ada kaitan sama tunang dia gia.Kalau dalam news paper memang ada cover2 sikit.Bukan boleh percaya..

semburu pun buli sampai membunu ka... hmm..

surat kabar bilang itu lalaki tunang dia pulis tahan utk siasatan.....

apapun motif pembunuhan ini..yg jelas, perkara ini tidak sepatutnya berlaku. Pembunuh tu ingat anak ayam ka..sinang2 ja bunuh..bagus kalau dia yg kasi basar ni orang.. Kalau betul motif pembunuhan semburu buta...adoiiiii manusia zaman sekarang, sanggup dia membunuh daripada melihat org itu diambil orang lain...tapi sa yakin dan percaya orang itu tidak akan tenang sampai bila2 kecuali la kalau itu mmg hobi dia. Semoga kematian mendiang diadili seadil-adilnya..hanya Tuhan saja yang tau..

sesuatu yang mengejutkan dan menyedihkan ..

walau masih dalam siasatan , tetapi sekiranya ...sekiranya si Tunang itu yang melakukan ? saya tak boleh terima ..ia diluar batas normal manusia bangsa kita , bangsa kita tiada sikap main bunuh orang dan campak mayat dalam kolam najis !

sekiranya bukan dia yg melakukan , para gadis ..para wanita diluar sana , ambil pengajaran bahawa suasana sdh brubah , perkara bunuh dan culik rogol semakin 'membudaya' dalam masyarakat !

para gadis , anak bujangan , si cantik manis ..hati2 kalau berjalan , jgn cepat percaya seseorang yg kita belum pasti siapa dia , jgn cepat termakan pujuk ,
jangan sesekali berjalan pada tempat2 sunyi dan gelap yang mencurigakan , apatah lagi kalau tdk berteman , mana tahu disebalik gelap sana ada hantu iblis berwajah manusia sedang mengintai peluang ,

jangan sesekali memberi peluang kepada manusia setan melakukan Onar , jangan sesekali membuka peluang kepada setan bermuka orang utk membuat sesuatu kejahatan , jgn terlalu berani ..nanti kalau sudah trjadi sesuatu menyesal nangis guling2 pun tada guna sudah !
